Downtown Design 2020

Downtown Design’s upcoming edition will be taking place 10-13 November 2020. Presented at the Dubai Design District (d3), the fair’s curatorial approach and creative direction incorporate specially commissioned experiential projects, bespoke café concepts and installations, offering both trade and public visitors an engaging and dynamic experience.

Downtown Design is the Middle East’s only trade fair dedicated to innovative, high-quality design. The week-long showcase is a magnet for design aficionados and professionals across a breadth of industries, from interiors and architecture to retail and hospitality.

Students, studios and firms arrange contemporary, limited edition creations for the occasion, inviting audiences from the Middle East, Africa and South Asia to celebrate the future of design.

This annual exhibit also sees the debut of new products by established brands, featuring eye-catching activations and interactive experiences to impress all. It showcases a universe of artefacts, from furniture and carpets to lighting and home accessories.

Downtown Design is the region’s leading design trade fair for high-quality design, reflecting Dubai’s position as the design capital of the Middle East and a gateway to Asia and Africa.

As the commercial centerpiece of Dubai Design Week – the region’s largest creative festival – each November Downtown Design brings the regional and international design industry together in Dubai, hosting 20,000 visitors that include the region’s top-tier buyers; from principal architects and interior designers to the design directors of hotel groups and decision-makers such as private clients and developers.

The fair exhibits product launches and latest collections from over 200 international and regional design brands and country pavilions alongside Downtown Editions, the fair’s boutique showcase for limited-edition design with a spotlight on designers from the Middle East.
